In math it is very important to make sure certain skills are mastered in order to move forward successfully. As I find holes in students understanding, I will take note, address it in class as appropriate, and reach out to parents for help. I will start a tab page with math (and science) resources readily available on line for your students to explore and work on filling in gaps or further strengthening their skills.
Since we embarked on our educational journey a few weeks ago we have been reviewing and studying how we do science and are ready to just do it! This week students will pair up, came up with a question they can answer through a scientific experiment, and perform that experiment. They will go through the entire experimental design process from creating a hypothesis all the way through to publishing & sharing their findings with their Cedar East community.
